Watch 360-Degree Videos on Apple TV
Your Apple TV is about to become a lot more immersive.
Virtual reality company Littlstar on Tuesday launched a new Apple Boob tube app, which brings 360-degree content to the platform for the starting time fourth dimension.
The free app offers video content from brands like Outset, Disney, Discovery, PBS, National Geographic, Mountain Dew, and Red Bull.
The app is integrated with Apple Idiot box's latest Siri Remote, letting you control your view from the remote'south trackpad, and peek effectually all 360 degrees of a scene.
"We wanted to give audiences the power to consume this content from their living rooms and in a social environment," Tony Mugavero, founder and primary product officeholder of Littlstar, wrote in a web log entry. "With Littlstar's app, users can now view 360 videos on their televisions, and experience immersive video the same style they would a traditional TV program."
The Littlstar app for Apple Idiot box is bachelor for download via the app shop.
Meanwhile on the media streamer front end, Google'southward Chromecast got a gaming boost this calendar week, just in time for your holiday go-togethers.
The $35 media streamer now plays prissy with Rovio'south Angry Birds Friends, meaning fowl are about to fly on the big screen.
Google as well announced several other new Chromecast-enabled games for both iOS and Android, including Ubisoft'due south Driver Speedboat Paradise and several family-friendly Hasbro titles like Monopoly Here & Now, Yahtzee Blitz, The Game of Life, and Scrabble Blitz 2.0, and the beloved strategy board game Gamble.
